2nd Grade Celebrates the 100th Day of School!

It is hard to believe but we have already been in school for 100 days!! How time flies when you are learning and having fun! The second grade had a fabulous day Wednesday, January 23rd. We started our day with our kindergarten Character Buddies. All of the kindergarten and second grade classrooms divide up and work together on a short project. Last Wednesday we made 100-day hats that consisted of ten strips of colorful paper with ten items on each strip. We had a lot of fun decorating and counting with stickers, stamps, dot paint, paper punches and markers! Who knew counting to 100 could be so fun!? Second grade spent the rest of the day working on many activities having to do with the number 100. We skip counted different ways, wrote about why we are “worth” $100 dollars, walked 100 steps from our classroom in different directions to see where we ended up, wrote 100 words, went “shopping” from catalogs with only $100 to spend and wrote/drew what life would be like in 100 years! Phew, we were exhausted at the end of the day!!
