April was full of activities and honors for the Spartans. We

introduced Harvey, our school therapy dog, to students and

staff, held a school-wide pedometer challenge, hosted

District ACT testing for interested sophomores, juniors and

seniors, sent a team to National Academic Decathlon,

hosted a Family Wellness Event for 5th and 6th graders, and

were fortunate to have Margo Dierdorff, Occupational

Therapist at GCMH, host autism awareness activities for our

MS students, and had a great Junior-Senior Prom, not to

mention all the classroom learning and extra-curricular

activities April brings!

May will be just as busy as we close out the 2016-2017

school year. MAP testing will begin during the first week of

May for 5-12 students. Please maintain a normal schedule,

encourage your student to get a good night’s rest. We will

be providing a light breakfast and mints for students each

morning during testing.

Several activities, including Service Learning Day, Spartan

Spirit Day, class field trips, and graduation activities are will

be occurring during May as well.

Our final day of school is Friday, June 2. Be sure to check

the school website, Facebook and Twitter pages to stay

current on all school events and announcements during the

final weeks of school!
