For the second consecutive year, Noah Boquet has been invited to the
United States Academic Decathlon National Competition. Only six
Varsity level decathletes have been invited from across the U.S. The
event will be held in Frisco, Texas from April 19 to April 21.
The invitation was extended based on Boquet’s outstanding score at the
Iowa Academic Decathlon state competition. His score of 6,736 was the
most ever scored by a Varsity decathlete representing Grundy Center.
Last year, Noah attended the national competition in Madison,
Wisconsin with fellow decathletes Eli Harberts, Dylan Hendricks and
Tiana Saak. He performed well, earning medals in mathematics and
science. If he earns a medal this time around he will become the first
GCHS decathlete to medal at nationals in two different years.
Congratulations and good luck to Noah Boquet!
