Grundy Center Elementary- “Doing What is Best for Kids!”
Grundy Center Elementary is a K-5 building located just blocks from the Middle School/High School. Preschool classes are also held within the elementary facility run by a nonprofit corporation. Child care is available in the elementary before and after school, provided through the YMCA program.
A dedicated, talented staff is dedicated to meeting each individual student’s needs. There are two-three sections per grade level, with many opportunities for small group work and individual assistance.
Students benefit from daily physical education classes, designed to teach the skills needed for lifelong fitness. A full-time counselor is available to meet the social/emotional needs of students.
The elementary is a top-notch facility with a full-sized gym and multipurpose room. A media center is located on the second floor, along with a computer lab. Most classrooms are connected by mini-labs of 2-4 computers as well.
