Spanish Teacher

Grundy Center Community School District is looking to hire a Secondary Spanish Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a valid Iowa teaching license with a 5-12 Spanish (134) teaching endorsement. 

The mission of the Grundy Center School District is to foster a caring and safe environment for all to connect, learn, and grow. The Grundy Center Community School District participates in the North Iowa Cedar League Conference, has approximately 725 students K-12, and provides 1:1 technology for all students; we are a Capturing Kids Hearts (CKH) school.

Spanish Classroom Supervisor

Grundy Center Community School District is looking to hire a Spanish Classroom Supervisor for the 2024-2025 school year. This position will have classroom management responsibilities in assisting students with a Spanish online curriculum that immerses students in the Spanish language using authentic and interactive reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities. 

The Classroom Supervisor will not provide direct Spanish instruction and the candidate does not need to be fluent in Spanish. The Classroom Supervisor will monitor students during assessments and will assist the online instructors by facilitating projects and activities. This position is for 25-30 hours per week.  Pay will commensurate with candidate background and experience.

Regular Route Bus Driver

Grundy Center Community School District is currently accepting applications for a regular route Bus Driver. The typical shift is Monday - Friday. Morning Route 6:45 am - 8:05 pm and the afternoon route is 2:45 pm - 4:10 pm. Times are subject to change with late starts and early outs.

A successful candidate will have a valid Iowa CDL License, Class B with airbrake and bus and passenger endorsement.  All job offers are contingent on passing a DOT Physical and pre-employment drug testing.

Pay is $81.52/day.

Substitute Route/Activity Bus Drivers

Grundy Center Community School District is currently accepting applications for**Substitute Route and Activities Bus Drivers.**Shifts are available as needed.

A successful candidate will have a valid Iowa CDL License, Class B with airbrake and bus and passenger endorsement. All job offers are contingent on passing a DOT Physical and pre-employment drug testing.

  • Pay for Substitute Route Drivers is $81.52/day

    Pay for Substitute Activity is $15.50/hour, typically including free admission to the event they drive for.
