Grundy Center Elementary School Job Opening .2 FTE Talented and Gifted (TAG) Teacher Position Begins: August 2025
Grundy Center Elementary is seeking a passionate, student-centered educator to join our team as a .2 FTE Talented and Gifted (TAG) Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year.
Position Highlights:
- Collaborate with the district TAG team to plan and deliver enrichment services for elementary students identified for Talented and Gifted (TAG) programming, comprising approximately 20% of the teaching schedule.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administration to support the growth of all learners.
- Participate in school wide events, programs, and professional learning as a valued member of the elementary team.
- The district will support and encourage attendance to First Iowa Orff workshops located in Cedar Falls.
What We’re Looking For:
- Iowa teaching license K–8 (required)
- TAG endorsement (or willingness to obtain) preferred
- The district will cover the cost of TAG endorsement coursework for the right candidate
- Passion for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love of learning with diverse populations

Grundy Center Elementary is seeking a passionate, student-centered educator to join our team as a .8 FTE Music Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year.
Position Highlights:
- Teach general music classes for students in grades TK–4, comprising approximately 80% of the teaching schedule.
- Curriculum resources include GamePlan, MusicPlayOnline.com, and Music K-8, supported by an extensive Orff Instrumentarium.
- Students have prior experience with the Orff Schulwerk approach and solfège-based singing instruction.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administration to support the growth of all learners.
- Participate in school wide events, programs, and professional learning as a valued member of the elementary team.
- The district will support and encourage attendance to First Iowa Orff workshops located in Cedar Falls.

- Iowa teaching license with K–8 or K-12 Music endorsement (required)

Substitute Route/Activity Bus Drivers
Grundy Center Community School District is currently accepting applications for **Substitute Route and Activities Bus Drivers.** Shifts are available as needed.
A successful candidate will have a valid Iowa CDL License, Class B with airbrake and bus and passenger endorsement. All job offers are contingent on passing a DOT Physical and pre-employment drug testing.
- Pay for Substitute Route Drivers is $81.52/day****Pay for Substitute Activity is $15.50/hour, typically including free admission to the event they drive for.
